About The Beneficiary - Decorative Arts Fellowship

The Decorative Arts Fellowship invites an artist in their early-to-mid career to feature their work in the Serenbe Designer Showhouse. The artist will make objects for the interiors of buildings and/or interior design - specifically textiles, furniture, lighting, ceramics, artworks, or metalware - and be chosen by the editorial staff of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine, the lead designer for the Serenbe Designer Showhouse, and Serenbe.

Atlanta artist Stephanie Wheeler is the 2026 recipient of the Decorative Arts Fellowship, with her work featured at this year’s Serenbe Designer Showhouse.

ABOUT STEPHANIE WHEELER

Stephanie Wheeler, a seasoned artist with over two decades of experience, showcases her unique blend of impressionism and abstraction in her diverse body of work. 

Inspired by her lifelong connection with nature, Stephanie infuses her pieces with rich colors and textures, drawing from mediums like oils, charcoals, watercolors, and ink. Primarily self-taught, her style creates a unique twist on impressionism and abstraction, breathing new life into traditional landscapes, florals, and figures. Her creations, ranging from traditional landscapes to abstract expressions, serve as a tribute to the beauty of the natural world.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Stephanie's work has graced prestigious publications such as Atlanta Homes and Lifestyle Magazine, Traditional Home, and Southern Living. Additionally, her art has been prominently displayed at renowned establishments like The High Hampton Inn in Cashiers, North Carolina, and the luxurious Blackberry Farm in Tennessee, further solidifying her reputation as a celebrated artist in the realm of contemporary art.
